Hi,
I've read some of the various postings about fish finders but didn't really find an answer to this.
I am wondering if some of you who use fish finders can offer some more advice. I was fishing for Kokanee on Dworshak and I have had some interference woes (or something) with my fish finder. But I think I have remedied that issue by down tilting the transducer more forward, putting it farther into the water, running power leads straight to the battery and running the transducer cable through metal conduit. And also updating the software as recommended by Humminbird.
The unit is a 597 CI HD. I was fishing this weekend and catching fish . However, I wasn't seeing fish on the finder.
Is that unusual or does it happen. This was not the case before making all of the above changes.
Thanks for the advice!
