What does everyone use? I have been using Ande clear and have had good luck with it but was wondering if i should change and try something better. I have used 10 lb in past.

Unless you are heading for Wallowa, 8lb is plenty for Oregon Kokes.

Brand? Well you will get as many opinions as fishermen. I use P-Line and that seems to be the most popular from what I have read.

Then there is the debate over mono versus braid. I have tried braid and have never came to believe that any benefits there may be do not justify the cost. There will be many opinions on this also.

Bottom line, kokes are not line shy, so don't worry about trying to make the line invisible.

Limber rod, stretchy line, fiesty koke, WHAT FUN!

I'm with DLM - I'm a P-line guy. I think there is 8 lb on my reels right now but not completely sure. If not it's 10 lb.

I'm no line expert but it just seems to "behave" better than the standard Berkley that I used to run. I normally switch out line every other year or so and the price difference isn't too bad as I re-call.

I have been using Dam Tectan line for the last two years and I really like it. What I have been using is 13.9 pound test with a diameter of .010 signfishin

I have some of that also and it's darn good line, but I use it only for mainline. IMHO it's a little too flexible to use on hoochies or anything that needs action transmitted from the dodger. P-Line I can use for both.2cents

I started with tuff line and really like it for salmon fishing the up side to tuff is that i put it on when it came out or close to it mid 80's and just trim 10 to 20 feet off each year other than that its same line i put on in the 80'S. Just thought i needed mono for Kokanees i might do the test this year. I run 30 lb for everything salmon and sturgeon have landed a lot of big fish and never worry about the line.

I'm with Lip Ripper. I use 13.9 Tectan for leader and 9.2 Tectan for my main line. Doesn't get any better the only draw back is it's expensive.

I've had great luck with Maxim's red chameleon 8lb. Seems to be invisible to several species, and enough stretch to troll without snubbers with my lamiglass red trolling rods. Koke's aren't that line shy anyway are they?

For trolling 10lb Maxima Ultragreen on line counter reels with 8lb Maxima Ultragreen leader. For jigging Tuf-Line XP Indicator color metered braid on spinning reels with 6lb Maxima Ultragreen leader.

I also use Maxima Ultragreen 10# and Seagar Flourocarbon leader for trolling.
I leave my mainline on for years at a time but my reels are always stored out of the sun in a temperature controlled environment.
