We've always gone to the Gorge in mid July, circumstances have changed our plans to the first part of August, can anyone comment how the fishing for kokes is during that time?
Thanks
Jim
Fishing is still very good for August. However as you approach the latter part of the koke season you'll start seeing a hint of red coming in on some kokes. Size matters too. thumbsup
In August you'll see schools of kokes that look like clouds on the finder. I always bring a 5 gallon bucket of ice. The fish go in the bucket of ice water. I'ver never had a problem with mushy flesh when I get back home (Vernal).
