Flaming gorge question

Anyone care to give me some insite into how late I can get on the Kokes up at the gorge? I've only been once and would like to get up there this year but don't want to waste my time. A good location to fish would be helpful as well. Thanks

Try Rawlins Draw, north side of the pipeline, Anvil, Wildhorse, the Ranch on up to Buckboard. These places are on the Wyo side. I usually stay at Lucerne and travel to these sites. Koke season closure is approx 10 Sept.

I've always liked the Lucerne area. I keep my trailer there in dry storage when not in use. Also know alot of folks that stay there as well. Know quite a few a Buckboard as well. Lucerne is my preference. It doesn't take me long to travel north to fish. Going for a scenic boat ride through the canyons I like and doesn't take that long from Lucerne.

Well, I'm planning on going up from Sep. 3 to the 6. So hopefully they will still be around. Is there a place up there that you can see the fish running like the fish trap at Strawberry?
