Well took my almost 80 year old cousin out this morning to show him how to put a few in the boat. He has scrounged up some tackle but he left it at home and showed up with what he thought he needed!
So we met him at the launch this Morning, Myself and the Capt'n of the Boat, AKA the Q-tip my Golden Retriever. First thing he says is that dawg isn't going is she?
Why Yes she will be in the boat before you will. Now that is settled we are off to fish. I have been doing fairly well at tagging a 5 fish limit in under 2 hours.
So he uses his stuff and in maybe 30 minutes I have 2 in the boat. So I have him now haul up the stuff he has brought and I get him set up. Put him a cannon ball with mono.
He is chipping at me and telling me it can't take 2 hours. So today he was correct . I tagged in 2 hours and 10 minutes. But the fish are just starting to turn, Caught one hook nosed male most others were bright, but won't give you more than a week before it's done.
So now were are on a mission to get him tagged out. Since I rigged him he has 2 fish in and only needs 3 more.
Lord this turned into a struggle! I'm watch the graph and staying over fish but he says we got bites over there thats where we need to be!!
He hooks several and either looses them at the boat or wants to point the rod right at them and haul them in. So anyone gets away.
We fish for 3 1/2 hours more to finally put 3 fish in the boat.
told him it was a secret on what we used.
So only he and I and the folks at the launch will know what we used. When I was driving off he was hauling fish out of his cooler for Show and Tell.
What ya gonna do? thumbsup
