Chargers have come a long ways. There are some extermely fast recharge chargers available now days. Do you have a budget?

Hey ctkid, I installed a genius on-board charger on my boat . I have been very pleased with this unit, and price is very reasonable. Here's the website to check it out, www.geniuschargers.com. Hope this helps. I found a really good deal on Amazon.

$100 should do it, though i could go higher. Don't want an onboard charger.

I'd like this info too, not interested in an on board charger, want one to plug in A.C. outlet. I've been using a craftsman with auto setting to turn down voltage to trickle when charged, haven't had any problems but it's old and I know there are better designed units now. Bob R

I have a Black and Decker Charger. The price was 105$ It charges at 4 amps, 10 amps, 20 amps, and 40 amps. It also has an equalizing setting that evens out the charge in all the cells. There is a desulfating setting that revitalizes the battery. ( It increases the life of the batteries) The charger has settings for agm,wet cell batteries, and gel batteries. It also has a 110 amp starting setting. They can also be purchased from Amazon.
It is a "smart charger" Mine is 6 or 7 years old.

I just got two from NAPA. They have several models. Mine were $50.00 each. No room for an on board charger. They are the yellow triangular shaped ones. Work Great! Check them out...Good Luck, Sal
