Laptop finally works here!....Been here since last week....fished every day
except the weekend (crowds were thick)....averaging about 20-30 fish a day, fishing till about noon on average and working hard for the fatties....lots of dinks, but also lots of fish
in the 3-4.5lb class, about 4-1 dinks to toads.....any color in the morning, as long as it's green, is working well lately, RMT white squids and pink as well, although green has outfished all others the last few days in the a.m.....RMT orange spinners after 10am seems to be the ticket as well.......46 to 58 feet on the wire.....early am bite, then a lull, then a 10:30 to noon deal.....have not fished the evening yet?....anybody doing well after 5pm?.....curious.....I'll post pics later!......Binthere50 ...out.........

I fished in the evenings last weekend, that's when I did the best. Green has been my color also. I'm up here now, we'll see how the morning goes.

buckboard has been holding the big boy's! my boy got a 24''5.12lb and a 22''4.14lb back to back on wed!useing pink uv haze and green splater back! in 65ft ofw!green worked ok in the morning's but then it has been going to pink's and orange's! the fish are changeing fast hooked up big choppers and pinkish belly's.

I was out the morning(Friday) around the squaw hollow area,,,,,,fishing was hot,,,I boated over 14 fish, all fished released to fight another day. Most of them were just a little smaller them what ash and his boy caught.. 35-45 ft with short set backs 15-20 ft seemed to be what they wanted . Green and oranges were the most productive colors, but not together as a combo. Speed about 1.7 mpg............... If anyone is on the water this weekend,,,,,,give G-man (d-weed) a holler in the vhf,he is camping for the next few days out there.

Brown bagger...we have been fishing from buckboard bay down to the pipeline and all in between.....just look for the boats to know where the fish are....Fished buckboard bay yesterday afternoon for a couple hours and hooked about 15........orange and green RMT spinners were hot behind hyper plaid and bahama dodgers......setbacks about 30 feet about 30 to 45 ft on the wire

Length of leader

Hi-
Hope to visit the Gorge soon. Appreciate all the great posts.
What's been the best leader length to have behind Mr Dodger? Last year it seemed to matter.
8"-12" or 20" to 24" or ?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks Bduck-
Last year a guy limited out at Lucerne big time and had used those longer leaders while I did so-so on the 8-12".

So much changes over time.....like water clarity. Was just fishing Lake Huron by Rogers City in Mich. for kings and the zebras have cleaned the water so much we were all using 100 foot long leads in 100+ FOW. On top of that now you need to fish 6 pm to midnight the water is that clear. The steelies were still hitting though.
Thanks again for the quick reply!!
