Most of us that have GPS occasionally punch in waypoints to certain areas on a lake marked as a favorite but how about normal icons. Its easier to delete the icons than to delete waypoints you don't want to lose. Everytime I catch a fish I like punching in a fish icon indicating the spot caught and also tells me how many fish has been caught on the day. By doing this also I can eliminate my trails left where I was trolling now that I have a fish icon that helps direct my travel. My trails look like a scribbled mess at times and gets to looking ugly when ever the wind gusts hit or a downrigger line gets hung up. The next time I visit the same lake, I delete all previous trip icons & trails but the waypoints are still there until I go into that setting for deletion. I don't get into marking any particuliar grid with GPS for navigation since I'm not near a coast.
