Great weekend 7/23-24

Well after all the bad post about this weekend I thought I would put a good one up. I was up there Saturday and Sunday we fished a local HOT SPOT and it was great. One thing I found was we had to move away from the crowds. Saturday was good the entire time we were on the water. We did not start fishing before 10:00 and it took me 45mins to get all four rods down at once.
Sunday started little slower but we started out trying some "new tackle company's great stuff. after an hour of nothing I went back to the RMT fusion dodger and I put on of the new Cotton Candy GREEN squids about ten inches behind it.
our biggest was 4.6# and we had a bunch in the 3# range a few in the 2s.

That's more like it!! Congrats on the great fish. That one is a definite hog. Now I'm back to doubting my fishing abilities. Looking forward to Saturday and Sunday again though

Don't doubt your abilitys get a couple of the cotton cany green squids tie them off at 10" and run the behind a fusion dodger at 55-70' with alot of stink on the squid and you will be in them. there are no secret spots find the fleet and keep a couple hundred yards from them.

it's crazy how the color changes from week to week. You can bet I'll be out on the lake again this weekend. I really don't doubt my abilities all that much. Just would like to have a 30 + fish day one of these days. I started a couple hundred yards behind the fleet on saturday...caught a couple shakers and decided to join the party...bad choice. I should know better by now to just fight through the shakers and stay in that pod of fish. Went back to it later in the day and the fleet came to me...imagine that! I guess they wanted their fair share of the 10" shakers

I feel for you. the same thing happens to me. We were on a pod of good fish all by ourselves not a boat for a quarter mile when a guy. drives right up to where we were and stoped and started jigging.........? we were not in a spot i have evere seen fish stacked up. the way he aproched forced me towards the shore. we were down so deep i could not alter much. we hooked up all four rods includindg our biggest fish with him not twenty feet away. im headed up in the AM tommorow i will try to post how its going.

Well at least you showed him who's boss. I couldn't even get back through the little pod I had found after the 4th fish. I was forced way wide and around where I wanted to be. Got back in there about 45 min. later and had one more hit...the party was over. That's when I left them AGAIN...and ended up hooking onto the only half decent fish of the day. I will check back and see how it's going out there on the water.
