Green Peter Derby

It was my first ever derby, it was really hard waking up at 3:30am two days in a row, Friday dad got me up early so we could meet Richard (Kokonuts) and follow him to Cannons house. We spent some time Friday fishing and exploring the lake, it started out with a big splash but we wont talk about that. It was fun we caught 8 fish that day and then we went to the campground and set up our tent. Saturday my dad woke me up at the same time, I was so tired I almost did not want to go, but I am glad I did. Once we got out there and caught our first fish I felt better. The rest of the day was really really fun, we caught a lot of fish! We caught 35 before we had to go weigh in. After that we went to lunch, we bought a lot of raffle tickets but didn't win anything, but I got lucky and won first place in the junior division. tooexcited It was really fun meeting every one and talking to all of the people from KPO, Shasta Tackle, KokaneeKid, and R & K. We caught all of our derby fish using R & K's Super Micro Hoochies, with silver dodgers. We went out again Sunday for a couple hours and caught another 7 fish.

The next derby will be a lot of fun, every one told me how big they are at Wikiup I CANT WAIT! signfishin
