Was able to Fish Friday 22nd before this front moved in I seen very few boats on the Res water was 67.3 degrees cloudy, calm were were able to put are limits (50) fish in the boat average 12 inch, released about 12 fish 6 inch in size. 50 ft on the downriggers 15 ft back. the medicine was redicial glow blue spinner blades attached to alvins wobblers blue in color (herring shade) my first trip ever to GPR left at 2.30 started raining as we pulled out stayed home and smoked up a big batch of kokanee in a Honey brine.

Thanks for the report!
I didn't do as good on Sunday, but it was still pretty good. Was fishing down near the dam running at 45' with a Dick Nite dodger, violet and pink, with a Rocky Mountain squid/spinner of the same color on one down rigger and purple sling blade with purple wiggle hoochie on the other. Both produced pretty good untill the bite turnded off.
Am not familiar with an Alvin Wobbler, where do you find them?

We went the other way. We fish by the floating bathroom and trolled up caught smaller fish so we recrossed the Res went by the second boat ramp arm to the bridge caught about 8 or so so we stay at the mouth of that arm sorry don't know the name of it we were happy with the size. your second question Alvin are wobblers use for Salmon you can remove the big hooks and use the Alvin in stead of a swing blade we trolled at 1.3 to 1.5 miles per hour and used Tuna in are corn no dye just plan. There are numerous wobblers on the market. Cascade wobbler/Diamond tyes/ Alvins/ its mind blowing how one thing works at one spot and not at others. I do a fishing log and put in all the details and use for references at later dates if you don't you should start.

Great job

Great job Mike. I remember you showing me those Alvins and I questioned you on that. How long was your leader?

We ran them the same way you run a swing blade 10 to 12 inches behind the Alvins/15 ft behind the boat/50 ft deep also used a weight on another pole same hook up Alvin and blue Radicial glow and put on a rudder 3 ft above the Alvin and hooked on a slider after the rudder and attached 4 0z of lead to the slider went down 77 ft on the line counters on reel, instead od stacking on the down riggers worked excellent, had two poles on down riggers and two on weighted with 4 oz. You can also attach your weight directly to your rudder if you want.

Blue Radicial glow? Tried looking it up with no results. Homemade?

That would be my guess, blue and sometimes purple seem to be more difficult colors to come up with but they can be very effective in some locations some days. For us a purple slingblade and purple micro hoochie were a killer combination during the Green Peter derby.

Last weekend was the first time we had purple/white hoochies take over the show. As the weekend wore on everything else went back in the box - go figure. It is a purple year??
