Unfortunately the weekend had to end but had my usual fun on the Gorge. The bite was very slow this time. The weather played a very big part in how that was to be. Thunderstorms and rain showers would hit a run all weekend. Was unable to find a consistent bite. Changed up on colors all weekend. A modified pearlscent RMT squid and a red Christensen Lake Shore Tackle Company(new on market) smiley blade with red beads and wedding ring did good. The best we could do is a couple of 3 1/2lbers. About a 20 fish hookup all wkend. Met up with gonefishing from Idaho. Had a great time Dallas. Also met up with Raynee & Mitch. My main motor got prop damage from my trollmatic troll plate. That ended all fun Saturday afternoon. Don't have a spare prop. I will now. The first pic is a rainbow chasing gonefishing. Next is Raynee & Mitch pegging out there fun meter. Finally, I'm overjoyed with this 3 1/2lber. Also have to mention, ran into Jared Johnson fishing with Kokaholic, and later Halojm & Colby. Just as the season gets started, its going into the wind down period here. One more good month. 2more trips will be about it.

I can see the pink blush starting. I'm glad you still managed to have a fun weekend. I had to work all weekend so I know you beat that!
 
I will second what Bduck said, Fishing was little tuff. We did manage some decent fish here and there. Good to see you out there Rog. Weather was a little rough but here are a few pics of the weather and of a nice fish i caught.

Wow. Nice fish for the both of you. Can't believe the season is almost over. Seems like it is just getting started. I'll be up the next 2 weekends and labor day and then its over.
 
Nice red Mark. I'm going to try and make it up there 2more weekends. How about getting Jared to pose for some of those pics. After all, I do support his business. I plan on hiding my wife from you vultures at next years ISE. laugh hyst

When March rolls around and you see whats gonna be coming out for 2011, Your gonna say" Oh Man, I gotta have that" Your wife, she is gonna go Hog wild. Dude, all I can say is drive your truck to the show in March!!!!

Jared was too busy. Between driving the boat, netting my fish, taking pictures, You know. mans gotta do what a mans gotta do.

Well mark looks like you guys had a good time, glad I got to visit with you and JJ. Just finishing up night shifts gonna try to get out Wed. Let me or Tim know if your gonna get back up before the season closes, we"ll try to get out with you.
 
Way to go you guy's. If any of you see a old fat guy with a scotty 1106 in one hand and 2 red poles in the other hitch hiking that way feel free to stop and pick me up.
 
Mark , I'll re-phrase that CRAIG IS GETTING VERY IMPATIENT to make it to FG . Janyc is on on 6-12 hour shifts . So just keep sending in all these pics so I can drool.
 
there is a reason it has shut down so much ,PRE SPAWN. they are moveing up in school's geting ready to do there thing, we had a few amazing day's jigging them after we found out the troll was about done.Finally I can take them stupid downrigger's off my boatnananana oh well got about a week left then I'am in hunting mode!!!not a great yr but not bad! Mark nice fish wish you would have came over and jigged with us after i sent you that txt we got 5 fish over 5lb's that make's 9 in my boat this yrtooexcited! oh and the burbot are allready in on the bed's ready for egg's to start falling! have caught several during the day mixed in with the koke's!DO YOUR PART AFTER IT SHUT'S DOWN AND KILL SOME (LING) BURBOT.
 
SO where did you find the jig fish? We are leaving in two days for our first real gorge trip with downriggers, which would be ironic if we didn't need them this trip.

Also, how do you jig for them, or rather what do you use? Just regular radical glow jigs or anything small and red/orange/pink or something else? Thanks.
