finally got our fish finder back after it broke on memorial day, hopefully it will last longer then 2 hours this go round.
anyways, going up tomorrow after work and will fish saturday and hopefully sunday as long as nothing goes wrong, camping at lucern.
looking to get into some kokes, got all the right gear for them just need some guidance on where to go and how deep of water to fish in and how far down to run my gear.

thanks in advance for any tips guys!

Trubbs,
It sounds like you are a beginner to the Gorge, yes? If you are camping at Lucerne, the pipeline is the closest viable spot for you to start. My recommendation would be to fish the cliffs on the right side of the pipeline as you approach from Lucerne ramp. It is relatively deep on that side so you can fish in close or out in the middle. Stagger your lines from 35' - 50'

yes and no,more so YES. ive been going to the gorge for years with dad but never had any fancy gear. used to just run pop gear out the back and wait for bites.
now we got a newer big boat, down riggers and a fancy dancy $1,700 humminbird to help out lol

last year i fished the pipeline mid fall and we caught quite a few nice big kokes (mostly pink tho) anyways, I planed to try there but also if theres better fishing up more ill go up further. my buddy fishes buckboard and KILLS them, im just not a fan of the host there so id rather not give her any of my money after the whole ordeal last time.

ended up going up just for saturday and went to buckboard, got on the water later then we wanted (7am) due to our 2011 6.7 thinking it was rather funny to keep blowing the CAC boot off.

anyways, we fished the main bay dodging boats, running the Driggers at 15 25 and 30ft. fishing was slow for us but still fun, netted only 4 (2 2.5lb kokes and 2 2lb bows) lost honestly probably 10 or more on the reel in or trying to net them. (seams like there mouths are already getting very soft)
all in all it was a good day on the water, nice little redemption trip and got the skunk off the boat, excited to head up again soon.
