Hi all...
I'm Dave, from over between Hailey and Ketchum....I've been lurking (sorry) on this forum for at least a few years and thought it was time for me to go legit.
Lived here full time for six years, been fishing kokes and all the other stuff for that entire time...but I've had a home here since 1990. Yes, I'm a California transplant but please don't hold that against me...I miss none of the garbage down there.
In my previous life I was an English teacher and commercial fisherman...had my own boat, a wonderful Farallon 26 that I fished from the Oregon line into northern Baja.
Fished recreationally in salt and fresh all my life.
I commercially trolled for albacore and halibut, and caught and sold lots of white seabass, thresher shark, yellowtail, and rockfish and lingcod.
I was a single handed hook and liner and loved it.
These days you'll find me at Anderson and Stanley Lake bouncing the bottom for lakers...and in the rivers between here and Montana with a 5wt.
I run a 17ft center console sea nymph with a yamaha 60 and a yamaha 4 on its aft end, and if you see me at Anderson please say hi!
And I will say bhi back!

Welcome Dave, I am also a transplant here where I'm at. I prefer to see myself as a refugee since a lot of military installations shutdown in Calif. 101surrender101 But no regrets to be heard of after leaving the pit. I do have family ties that bring me back. Now retired enjoying the fishing myself since I have more time. thumbsup
