Well it is suppose to be the hottest day of the year, so far, today (93). Yesterday was also hot. I have to work this afternoon. That means that I was on my local kokanee lake early. The sun was peeking over the hills as I started to fish about 6:30am and I had my limit by 7:40am. Nothing big, it got away after becoming airborne. I was in trolling 56-88 feet of water with about 30-40 foot of wire down. I was on the south side of the lake trolling east and west. I used, once again, Dick Nite Pink Splatter dodgers with Wannafish A Lure Pink Splatter Squiddy Thing but the one that caught the fish was the pink splatter squiddy variance. I had a hammered nickel blade with a dressed streamer fly hook and a treble hook as a stinger. The fish preferred it today. It may be that the silver blade on the original Pink Splatter Squiddy Thing was to bright. It was over 74 when I got home close to 8:15am.
