What a great day! We hit the lake at 7:45am. The lake is down and it's a long long back down at the ramp. The waite was not to bad only 10 min. or so. The wind was blowing out from the south east and it was rough going up to the head waters. We started fishing west with the wind about a mile from the upper ramp. We were only in the water for a short time and the bite was on. We continued trolling in open water toward the dam for the next 3 hours.
The wind died down within an hour, the sun came out, what a great day!
We even got a little sun burn! The fishing was best beteen 8:30 and 9:30 but we continued to catch Coho's till 1:00. By days end we boated 25 fish beteew the 3 of us releasing all but our limits. First off the fish were coming in at 5 to 10 feet deep, as the day progressed we were catching them at up to 55 feet deep. The water temp was 46 first off and warmed to 52.The size of the Coho's were all cookie cutter 13 to 14 inch fish, they were full of fight and may times we thought we had larger fish on the line. See attached pic for the fish and what we were using.
