Name is Ted. I have been chasing just about every fresh water fish Oregon and Washington have to offer. The last few years has seen me on rivers chasing Steelhead or Salmon pretty much year round. But this year I have found that I need to start looking to stay off my feet more. So in comes my toon and the pursuit of Kokanee. As I am new to kokanee, I plan to do a lot of research here and learn what I can to get me started on the best path. I fish form a 9 foot toon that I have set up with a downrigger, couple of rods and a fish finder. I have slayed a ton of trout on this toon, but now look forward to hitting up some of those tasty silver bullets. I live in the Auburn Wa area so will be hitting American, Meridian and Clear with a couple smaller lakes in between.

Welcome aboard! I've fished for kokes from a 9' toon a few times... had it set up for trolling with a make shift downrigger, Minn Kota, and fishfinder. I found it easier and more productive to jig from the toon though.

Thanks all. Jigging for kokes? I will need to check into that as I have not heard anybody up in these parts using this method.
