I understand the HUS lure is pretty common in the east, but we don't see them much out here in civilized country;)

Is anyone using them on kokes and if so what size, colors, with dodgers, with flashers, etc.

The "hus-lure" is available through Luhr-Jensen. They show them on their web site, and in their catalog. The catalog shows 13 colors...#0131 (brass/redhead) and the #0315 (rainbow) and the #0075 (fire/pearl back) look like good kokanee colors to me. That rainbow pattern (#0315) in the "kokanee King" and "needle fish" spoons have put a few kokes in the boat over the years. check out www.luhrjensen.com their listed under "spoons&spinners".

(I just noticed that my catalog is from a few years back (2001) so the color choices might have changed since then)

They call it a "casting spoon" and it looks heavy. More like something you might jig with. Using spoons is my least favorite weapon against Kokes. Just a personal thing I guess.

Not really a spoon. I have a few I picked up over the winter somewhere, about 1.5 inches long. More of a flat piece of metal with a bend to it to give it action. I have not had a chance to try one out yet but looks like it may work as a jig also. I have also seen them in a large size, about 4 inches long.
