Ice Fishin Southern Idaho jan 2013

Me, the girl and some new to ice fishing addicts have been hitting the hard deck in southern Idaho a few times and have been having a hoot. We have been fishing for trout and doing well at each place we have been, with chesterfield being out favorite. We tend to fish in less than 25' of water and have been catching fish on a little bit of everything with green being the go to colorwith some worm and smelly jelly.

Nice troout. I never caught one ice fishing. Lakes I ice fished in Michigan had every thing except trout. Not enough ice in Western Washington.

Thanks, trout are easy pickings in the majority of the reservoirs here in northern utah and southern idaho all winter and all summer. The stock them heavily in most of the major ponds too. Makes for fast fishing the majority of the time. I cathc what you got in Western washington any day of the week!!!!

Out here we just launch the boat. Any day of the week- If it's not too windy.
