Spent two days fishing for kokanee on a local lake, using plain corn, and got 6 one day 7 the next, with two folks fishing. a local pulled into the ramp as I was leaving and a father, son and grandfather team landed 48 that morning. They swore by Tuna oil and Pro Cure. Can anyone help educate a noob regarding kokanee, corn, and scents?

Scents can only help. There are days that they make all the difference in the world and days when it doesn't seem to matter. I always scent with something. Tuna oil is great. Use that as a base and add other scents from there. Try experimenting with different stuff. Never know what you will find.

I've been using Pro Cure Wizard Kokanee Killer Korn Dye in pink and adding Pro Cure Krill Annis oil. Sure makes the corn pretty and slippery! It works great when I have compared it to shoepeg straight out of the can. The experiment must continue! Use what works for you that day. thumbsup

Well, i use that same pink dye and have a container of pink corn to add various scents to when it is on the hook. I also make small containers and scent them individually with shad, garlic, koke special and a plain one. That way We can try other scents as we are fishing. I think the scents disguise the human smell. My favorite lure is always paired with pink corn with anise. My husband's favorites are either shad or garlic depending on the lure.
