Hadnt been able to Koke fish since our Gorge trip last june..
And trust me after that trip i was feening bad for some kokaine...

Hooked up with the Outlaw in search of those piggies cruising the Big B and we had lines in the water a hair after 6am...

The Day Started off nice and if you look real hard you can see the Fleet...

About 15 miniutes in the Bill Dunn Hornet Orange spinner got hit at 20' OTW...
Not quite what we were after but its a start...

We continued fishing with a couple drive-bys and one fish that was getting aerial before popping the clip and it got off...

About 10am we got a good fish...

And as you can tell the weather was changing...

We circled back to the mark and boom my rod starts pumpin...
Another nice one in the box...

Those two fish came on pink glow hoochies at 40 ft OTW...
Mine behind a Kens Blue Crush dodger...the other was a pink and copper dodger..

Finally the weather became too much for the Outlaw and we ran for the marina and a hot cup of coffee...

Weather passed aside from a few more sprinkles and we decided to stay close and work the dam areas...

Quickly put a couple kings in the box...one at 15' and the other at 25'.
Picked up two more nice kokes and a dink at 35' and pulled the plug around 330 after i convinced yet another non believer of the RMT Sockeye Slayer...

This same lure caught fish at berryessa last year and a couple 4lbers last year at the gorge...all on the original leader...

No limit stick in the Camo G3...but we got a dead well shot..

Now im not sure how to properly measure these fish...

But the 4 nice Kokes we got were all about 16.25" and if you slid the tail a bit you could get them to break 17"...so whatever they are fat and they were delicious last night... 101ok101

Also it was amazing to watch the rods just pump down towards the water instead of just bounce in the clip...A couple just started pulling down like a snag..

Cant wait to get out there again...especially if we ever get some consistant weather...

Great report MJ and you were long overdue to get out. I think the last time I saw / heard photos of that crazy lure was when you reported it last year. Great photos I have this feeling you'll be back. awesomereport

Some nice looking fish. Too bad Berryessa is so far away from us. Eventually, the weather will stabilize & Melones will kick in & the Gorge trip is coming fast.
