Does anybody have a recommendation for a decent inexpensive level wind kokanee reel? I am familiar with all of the better quality models, but my uncle is looking for a couple economical ones. That I am not familiar with. I think I have read that Okuma's are good? Any replies appreciated.

Daiwa accudepth 17 would make a good, inexpensive level wind.

i've had good results with okuma, i've had some good daiwa's and some junk ones, i have 2 of these and they have 3 seasons of hard use and still work great: http://www.cabelas.com/product/Fish...=SBC;MMcat104793480;cat104760180;cat104652180

I have Okumas line counter Convector 15. No regrets, solid as they come. I would suggest just a little smaller than this for a light kokanee rod. 101ok101 The new line of Velocity Black Ops 150 & 151 level winds are out. The BO 150 is the smaller of the 2 and I purchased 2 with Velocity rods. They are so new that their is no reviews of their quality yet. I'm in the process of either braking them in or just braking them. So far my judgment of these is good & like the feel. Those can be purchased thru Rocky Mountain Tackle and the warranty you will like.

I purchased the okuma cold water 153d for 70.00 at the sportmanshow regularly 94.99 at Bob's Sporting Goods booth line counter really nice set up for kokanee I just needed a spare rig for a guest nice very inexpensive if this helps

Not sure if you are still in the market, but Abu Garcia Black Maxx runs about $50, Okuma Safina Pro baitcaster runs about $50, Daiwa Laguna runs about $60. Low pros are very fun for Kokanee in my opinion. If you have money to spend, Okuma's Helios Air, Shimano's Metanium, and Abu Garcia Revo STX worth every penny.
