I have been useing these for about 3 years now and and have lost a few in the lake the first one by me the others by friends and kids, theres a little learing curve but its easey to pick up. I no longer unhook them from the line, now that I have a scotty ball retriver but every now and then when bringing up the weight too fast and hitting the mast when every thing is not just right one will come loose. they are a little spendy and I don't like yelling at the crew for not paying attention so I came up with a way to fix it. I made a set of hand cuffs sort a speek.take the clip end and snap it on the downrigger cable so it still can go up and down the cable freely but you can unhook it at the end of the day now if it comes loose they just fall to the ball and just get reattached no more lost stackers. dfly
