It's Finally Taking Shape

Well the boat is done to a degree. It was moved to Eugene yesterday for rigging, I hope to pick it up next weekend. I happen to stop by just a couple hours after it was delivered and took a couple quick pics in the pouring rain. I wish the weather would have permitted crawling all over it, but then I probably would have never got out and back to work.

David, as the old TV show used to sing, you've done moved up! That will be a great boat.

Thanks, we are really excited.

The only thing I am not looking forward to is the hours of breaking in two new engines. I recall breaking in a new kicker a few years ago and it seemed to take forever.

Dave the boat looks very nice thumbsup . did they make you a special canopy so you can stand up under it. laugh hyst I know what you mean about the break in. luckily I live close to Rodgers landing and took it out after work and got the hours on before I hit the lakes. dfly

Spent another three hours breaking in the kicker so I decided to take a few pics. Here are a few, more in my gallery in the "Boulton" album.

DLM, that is REALLY nice looking! Love the rod storage. Boat looks like you could have a small "party" in there, it's so big looking. Very clean looking finishes - congrats!

That is sweet looking! I was going to hit you up for pictures last night. I was looking to see if you sent out an update that I missed. Very clean looking boat. I really like the rod holders and the attention to detail.

Just need some fish slime in it to make it yours :)

I like it as well. The rod holders give me the idea of what I can do to modify my boat. Fish guts & blood would give it character and show its intended use.

Do you have a name for her? 101juggle101

DLM WISH YOU A LOT OF LUCK IN YOUR NEW RIDE JUST A HEADS UP PUT A METER ON HER AND MAKE SURE YOU GOT A POSITIVE READING COMING OFF YOUR DOWNRIGGERS/

you are right there Dave, I was wondering which side he or others mount them on especially with the walk thru door that swings out, you are right mine will be complicated I have a CR anchor nest that sticks up in the way and I don't want to make mine permanent because I anchor up on the Colombia so I am making a receiver for the anchor nest and the TM will be able to swing left or right when not in use and when deployed it will be centered between the anchor rollers in the center of the bow, this is what I am working on now. dfly

Yes, mount it away from the swing of the door.

I had Maxxum mount it when they were doing the rigging. Metal Manipulator got my skeg finished a couple days ago and man is it sweet. I will try to get some pictures of the mounted unit with skeg posted Sunday, on the road until then.
