Just back from East Lake

Just got back from a week of fishing at East lake. The fishing was excellent. We limited out every day on 14 to 16 inch kokanee. They were starting to turn but lots of bright 14 inchers. It has been years since we caught large nice fish that size there. Had a great time. Fish were 40 feet down and caught all on orange hoochies.thumbsup

Glad you were able to get into some nice fish at East. I had heard they were good sized this year.

Thanks for the report. Were you trolling the northwest corner of the lake?

No, we were trolling the high rocks on the Northeast end.

Where's the best place to camp? Any free places? Those darn parks are too expensive imo

Yes, there is a dirt road that goes east from East Lake Resort. You can camp up the road in the forest for free. No accomodations. We can only afford parks with our senior pass!!!!
