Keeping Spawning Phase Fish

I stopped in at the DFW today and asked about any regulations similar to a previous thread about how pink is too pink. In WA there is no regulation against posession of spawning phase kokanee. The two gentlemen did remark that fish in the spawning phase are not good eating and people would most likely want to CnR.
