last summer I was given a handful of bugs by j.j. fished them mid to late summer with little results I have seen members post photos of their home made bugs on the forum . I have run several leader lenghts and applications and still with little success.plan on trying them again this spring they just look deadley any suggestions.

never fished them but look koke fishey.
and i thought i had everything koke, reminds me of the old panfish bug lures.

for lots of variations on the theme, try Fishing with Father Murph's site. Chubby bugs, Ghost bugs, Koke Kombos, Slam Damas, Super Bugs.

the Koke Kombo in hot pink/purple is one I've got to try on Lk. Wallowa and Merwin this year.

the straight bugs might also work well on a dropper above a lead jig as the second lure.

can never have enough different tactics to through at kokes when they go off the bite for one lure type.
going to follow this thread for hints from bug users.

behind RMT sig. was one of my tactics last year have done well early spring sizeing down small Dick Kights - needlefish- crappie tube jigs so am planing to try them again thanks for the feed back

I tried bugs multiple times at the gorge last year and caught fish on one outing. Every once in a while you will catch a " bug bite" . Just have to give them a whirl when things slow down and see if it changes things. Like Petty said, 12" leader behind a dodger will give them great action.

The Father Murphy's Lollipop bug behind a Crystal Basin Watermelon Wild Thing is my "GO To" lure for Kokes at New Melones in Nor Cal. He's always sending me new stuff to try & I rant & rave about them on these forums. People recognize me by the Lollipop bug. We also use the pink/puple, firetiger, watermelon, & Pinky. I'm anxious to try them at the gorge, but with single & larger hooks.

Still waiting for some female smileys???

vance staples blue&pink bug behind a nickle&pink shasta sling blade dodger worked real good for me at crescent lake last year untill i lost, it only had one but i have more now. after that went to a pink&blue rocky mountain assassin and also did vary well.
