And yet another report for Berryessa from this weekend. While most everyone has already put away their Kokanee gear for the season Team HiTechKoke had to give it one last shot as Berryessa has been a banner year with the biggest Kokanee in the state. I had 3/4 of the team for this trip and we were not disappointed as the Vampires were ready to play under the full moon cycle. The action was fast and furious in the morning hours with plenty of fish in the finder in and around skier's cove. There were about 8-10 boats total fishing in the area.
In the end we finished with 14 Kokes and another 5 or 6 lost in the battles. Our bounty was 15 to 19.25 inches with fish from 65 to 85 feet and biting on lots of lures. The fish are nearly done for eating with about 50% of them serving as basic fertilizer but what they lack in taste they made up in fight. The fat lady has sung for us.. we're one with Kokes for 2010.
Some pics of the adventure…
Some pre-sunrise action…
and the sun comes up and heats up the action…
a big Vampire came to play…and lost.
my better half loves this action… she doubles up.
