Lake Roosevelt Kokanee

Alan: Here are three kokanees from Roosevelt this week. Not really. They actually are springers from here on the Columbia. Camped out on the island with our grandson last Sunday night and fished the morning tide. Griffin lost his first two, and then got the third one in the boat. Then on Wednesday I took my friend, Jay from Utah out and we each limited by 8:45 am. Then I went out on Friday by myself and caught one more, but didn't take any pictures of that one. Three were about 14 pounds and the last one was about 10 pounds. Needles to say it was an awesome week of fishing for me. I usually have a hard time catching springers. Caught them all on quick fish. For some reason I can't seem to get more than one picture to load?

Well my Buddy and I hit Roosevelt the last two weekends, and all I have to say is what a great Fishery.
We went over from Cd'a and Fished 4/23 just for the day and did catch one limit and probably would of got two but he lost his license somewhere along the way that morning. Than we fished this past weekend 4/30 & 5/1 and put two limits in the boat for two days(two fish limits)
Just Beautiful little scrapers those fish are.

First trip

Well it's our first trip over there. Gonna give it a go on Friday. Me and the wife are tired of little spokane area Kokes.
We're planning to launch at spring canyon and go from there. If anybody wants to help a couple out that would be great. I think in set on my rigging, just curious if anybody has any general recommendations as to what areas are typically productive right now and maybe a starting depth recommendation. Thanks all and wish us luck!
