Lake Samish

I fished Lake Samish yesterday ( Friday ) from 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. The results are as follows. The new ramp is in. It's not as steep as the old ramp. There is no dock. Thus if you launch and have to go park your tow vehicle by your self, you have to pull you boat up on the beach. If you are lucky, no one else will be pulled up there as there is only room for about 3 boats to land without being on the rocks. They are the size of basket balls down to golf ball size.
The water temp was 41* to 41.7 * I could find schools of fish, but no takers. It's fun to fish in the fog when there are only 3 or 4 boats on the lake and nobody is going over 2.0 mph.
My only hope is to wait for warmer weather.

Saw you Friday. I was in the 17ft white/aluminum Wooldrige w/blue canopy. We marked hundreds of fish. 50-120ft. I got 1 at 75ft with a light pink hoochie, chrome blade w/glow beads. I'm new to this fishery. First year starting out, in the winter no less. Go figure? I'll get it dialed in. They might like a spin rig w/a night crawler? I'm sure they don't want to use a lot of energy to feed. Say hi next time. Garett

Chris: You're up near my old stomping ground at Samish Lake. I was born in Bellingham and raised near Ferndale. It was always fun to look at Samish as we have headed north to see family once in awhile. All I ever did at Samish when I was a kid was have family picnics and swim there at the park. Maybe now I will have to try fishing it for kokes once in awhile.
Strike Zone

Easy to catch me. My boat is kinda slow. Easy to recognize . Just look for a 16 ft flat bottom with my name on the side-lowe1648mt.
Send me a private message when your coming up. Maybe we can spend a day on the lake, if you have time.

Lake Samish

Checked Lake Samish today. I got there late, around noon. There was no wind, the air temp. was about 50 and the water temp. was 44 to 45 . Three boats fishing and no one catching.

Welcome to the forum GMAN!
Are you State or Federal?, just kidding...

Samish put out some decent sized fish last season using the night crawler red prizm/flasher combo . Hopefully this season we'll have the same results.
