Got the fishing itch yesterday so i hit it this morning. LOTS of fish in the 10-30' range. Got a 12" right outside the cove on a pink hoochie spinnner and got 2 more small kokes early on. Then the fuse blew for the sonar so i went in. not a bad day for cold weather kokes
Got wet thru the rain gear today!101thumbsdown101 The things we do to catch fish...
Pulled out of the north boat ramp at 630. Ran straight over to the shelf by the airator. Dropped my fathful pinksplatter back Dick-Nite dodger down to 25ft with the green rocky mountian hoochie spinner. Other rigger went to 40 ft. trolled for 45 min without a bite. Gear check and rebaited and sent them back down this time to 20 and 10. Shallow rod gets a bump, then another, then another, all within 10 min. Figured I better check things out, the bottom hook was wrapped above the hoochie!!!!! (*)^*&^%*&(^%&*!!!! sent back down and nothing. switched to a orange spinner and kawamoo! fish on! another nice 12.5" koke. Then nothing for the next 45min. After that i couldn't take the rain anymore and called it a day. Yet again there was alot of fish getting air bourne, marking lots-o-fish around 20-25'. Two days in a row tells me they might be starting to organize a little bit. tooexcited
