I fished Lake Sutherland last Sunday and it was "jet skis from hell"! The kokanee were spooked and lying low. The only technique that really resulted in catching kokanee is a new prototype hybrid 2-in-1 metal jig called the Sonic Kandlefish (SKF). It can be fished as a blade bait (vibration) or as a flutter spoon (flutter/wobble). On the first seven drops, my 12 year old neighbor hooked 4 kokanee and 2 cutthroat trout jigging the SKF as a vibrating lure. On a future post, I hope to show a photo of the 3 ways this single lure can be fished. It very well may be the kokanee/trout jig of the decade!
