Last Chukar hunt of the season with my new Pup

My friend and I got out yesturday to hunt some Chukar with my new German Shorthair , Rudy. We finished the day with eight birds between the two of us. The weather has been brutal this year for hunting with gun dogs. Fortunately, the wind was not part of the weather forcast so we were able to get out one more time before the end of the season. The new pup had a great first year and is "holding his point" with the best of them.
Morning total of three. Good start of the day.

He is showing some good promise after his first year. He still has a lot of "puppy moments" like pointing gofers, but he is coming along.
