I know that this question has been asked before by someone but I will ask it again. What is your favorite line for Kokanee fishing. I have been using magnathin 8 lb test but it has gotten hard to find in bulk spools.

Because I use the chamberlain releases on my downriggers (I don't like putting a twist in mono - had a couple of break offs) I generally use 10-12# powerpro braid with 10 feet or so of 8 - 10# fluorocarbon leader. I use ultra light, slow action fiberglass rods, so I have plenty of cushion to make up for the lack of stretch in the line, and my catch hook/rate is generally pretty good (I'm 10/11 and 12/13 this year, but I've had some 50/50 days in the past).

Hey Island 20, been a while since our last IPA:).

I like Yozuri hybrid in 10 lb. Tough line with minimal stretch that meters well on my Convector line counters. I use those for variety of downrigger and longlining. Minimal stretch, touigh, and UV resisitant.
