My brother and I went to Porky in the 4th with our wives to celebrate our independence! It was a beautiful day. Had a nice sourdough breakfast at the partents before heading up to start the day right.

Got to the water abut 10:00. Fished for about 5 hours. We were the ONLY boat in the water!!! It was fantastic. We boated 27, and lost about 15 at the boat. I sure wish they were a little bit bigger. The girls would get a little too excited sometimes and lift them out of the water.

Still no fish finder.... Hope it shows up in the mail this week!

Orange was the color...

Sounds like a great day at the Pig.
Good to see that you were able to hook them.

When we were there a few weeks ago. I had a hard time keeping them hooked. We lost a lot more than we boated.

I like the suggestion that Petty had about using smaller hooks. I will try that on my next trip to Porcupine.

I tied up some squids with smaller hooks and I don't think we lost any that were hooked on the smaller hooks.

Seemed to make quite a difference.

i found that the smaller hooks made all the differnce in the world, i rig all my stuff with #6 hooks for the pig
