I’m in the market for a new fish finder and I’m curious if anyone had tried the new HDS Live for Kokanee. Specifically I would like to know if people are able to pick up Kokanee on the 3D structure scan. It seems like that could be nice to pick up larger schools of fish that you don’t necessarily go directly over. I’ve heard traditional side scan view can be difficult to see the fish but they do show up.
Trying to decide if the extra couple grand is worth the expense for 3D structure scan and then possibly another grand on top of that for the livesight transducer down the road.
Considering I don’t give too much thought to the structure when fishing for kokes the only advantage is if you can actually pick up fish that you didn’t go over.
Let me know what experience you have with them for kokes.
