Has anyone heard of the progress on the new development of Lucerne campground? I'll be making a trip up there in early April for my first fishing trip for a one dayer as a scouting mission as well.

Was up on the 11th and saw nothing happening. Hope they get it done before the season gets started.
Which season of which year? It will be closed until at least Fall.

The way it sounded the project was going to get going over the winter. Maybe their waiting for additional funding. Step right up and get your Flaming Gorge pass early.

The web camera has been showing some nice weather over that way. Im thinking that there is some kind of politics standing in the way of things getting going.
I don't know what the construction schedule looks like but I bet it is still pretty cold up there. Being a large paving project, not the kind of temps you want to be batching asphalt in! I would, however, have thought they could have run a dozer through there and cleared everything.

Important Information: Lucerne Campground Loops E, F & G will be available for campers during the 2011 Camping Season.
Due to major construction and improvements being made sites in Loops A, B, C, & D will be closed for the 2011 Camping Season and will re-open in 2012. Improvements will include new asphalts, 16' x 60' camping spurs with adjacent parking spur, more electrical hookups, new picnic tables, firerings, water hydrants, and walking paths.
Also during this time showers will not be available until the construction is complete. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience this causes you. For more information please contact 435-784-3483.
