Lucky Peak kokanee

Kali and I took a drive up to LP the other day to see if they still had docks in the water due to the rapid draw-down. (Yes at Barkley; no at Spring Shores-it was a small section like they typically use, but was quite a ways up on the ramp) and talked to a fellow that had been fishing for kokanee. Had caught one 13"er just while he was pulling out of the ramp area by the dam, and that was it for him. Sounds mighty slow. Mike

How early in the spring does the kok fishing start to pick up?

Fishing is hit and miss from ice-off to around mid May. The fishing really gets consistent in June after a couple of weeks of 80+ degree weather.101ok101101chromefish101101ok101
