well it was my better half and I's first trip to the gorge in 20 somethin years we arrived at anvil sun day evenin got camp set and enjoyed the lightin and thunder rain show, launched mon mornin fished anvil caught a few small kokes and some small macs, did get a couple of kokes big enough to keep,
tues morning headed to buckboard, caught one bright red male 4lbs, and a couple of nice sized eaters, fished south of anvil tues evenin for macs, a few small ones, wed back to buckboard really slowed down just a couple of eater kokes and didn't see much action around us, wed evenin back south of anvil to do some deeper trollin, the wife hooked up with somethin big but after a 15 min battle it came unhooked. it was a bummer, thurs morning jetted across to anvil fished there caught four nice keeper kokes in the 3lb range. all in all
it was a fantastic trip , great weather good water a few fish every day, we felt really good about our success being new to things.
Best of all the boss (wife) thinks we should hit the gorge at least 3 times a summer now... thats a bonus.
thanks for all the advice as it was a help to our success.
