Just a reminder to folks that our 2nd annual "Big Fish" McClatchy Memorial Tournament will be held July 21 @ The Dam Fools club house @ West Magic. Registration will take place from 6:30 am to 7:15am with actual fishing time from 7:30am with weigh in at 1:00pm with barbeque lunch right afterwards.
Entry fee will be the same as last year $25 per person and includes the barbeque lunch. This year we will be paying out for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place biggest fish. Last year we only paid big fish and the fish that won it was a trout just under 3 pounds, so it's anyones game.Last year we had just under 70 anglers that participated in the event & with any luck we'll double that number this year.
Also you do not need a boat to fish this tournament. You can shore fish from the bank, float tube, canoe, rubber raft, etc. It's also for biggest game fish, which means trout or smallmouth bass. You are only fishing for 1 "Big Fish" not a limit of fish. You could fish as many people in your boat as long as they are entered in the tournament each person fishing could bring 1 fish to the scales to be weighed.
I also would like to mention that part of the proceeds from this tournament goes to Camp Rainbow Gold. The camp is where young children go that have terminal cancer.
So mark your calenders and come on out and join us on July 21st @ West Magic for some great trout fishing. For those of you coming from the Boise area you may want to make a weekend out of it as the West Magic Resort is putting on their second concert for the summer at the resort the eveing of the 21st.
