Hooked up the little red boat this morning, left the house in Kalama at about 8 and on the lake by 9. Parking lot was almost full. Forgot to put in the downrigger line release's, Kicker Motor would not run so I trolled with Big motor. Had to drag 2 drift socks to slow dow to about 1.8 MPH. Put on one ounce lead and 4" dodger and wedding band and shoepeg corn, trolled till 1 when the wind came up, and just a couple of hits. Talked to one guy at the ramp and he said all he caught were squaw fish. Got home and put the downrigger line release's in the boat. Just another great day of fishing.
I'll bet that it will be full tomorrow.

My Nephew and I arrived at 5AM on the water by 5:30 we had 2 each by 7:30 then it was it party over. We too caught a couple squaw fish. We caught our kok's on UV sling blades and pink hoochies, one we caught on green hoochie. We saw several fishing lake trolls so we changed over after the bite quit that was when we started catching Squaw fish. The bite has sure slowed from a few weeks ago, the water is much higher now and warmer but the fish we caught were fatties. It was a Beautiful day on the lake good times.
