Two of us spent a very pleasant day on Merwin yesterday catching a few fish and watching the eagles harass the ospreys. In the morning we caught fish flat lining and later at 30 feet. The sheriff motored by and stopped to say hello. It was interesting in that he said that most of the fish are caught by 10:00 am and then for the rest of the day it seems to be slow and never really turns back on. That seemed to be the case with us with fish coming first thing and then later in the day we had to beg for them. We caught 8 kokes on pink and then green hootchies.
