Need Help!!!

I spent the majority of saturday and sunday learning to kokanee fish on Lake Stevens WA. I got skunked!!! I was fishing in the 15 to 45 foot range, using 4/0 dodgers with wedding rings, hoochies to spoons. Not sure what i am doing wrong. I do know that there was some loud vibration coming from my down riggers (penn 600 fathom masters). Is there any advice or directions that someone to help me out with?

You learned a great lesson you need to do your home work. My suggestion is go to YOU TUBE and pull up Angles West TV show and find Gary Morales Kokanee show there is a ton of shows on the basic of Kokanee fish because a picture is worth a thousand words. I can ask numerous question your trolling speed? Your scent ? Were you using corn? What did your electronic tell you? Do you have DR. It goes on and on pull up Gary Morales stuff its very educational. Second pick up a book on Kokanee and learn why folks fish on the surface in the morning. Etc after you do all that,you can learn about Why color matters the master Angler by Mr.Phil Roberdon its all part of the fun of pursuing Kokanee. Good luck

I saw your post on NW Fishing Reports. Thee are lots of reports on Stevens to look at. Probably one of the fastest ways to learn a fishery is to go with a successful guide on Stevens. You will learn very quickly the do's and dont's for catching kokanee on that lake.
