I recently purchased a yamaha 4 stroke 9.9 trolling motor with electric start and tilt. I'm having a hard time coming up with a way to pass the battery cables and fuel lines through my transom and still keep things looking clean and organized out back. The only rigging hoses and flanges I can find are all 2'' minimum and are way overkill for my needs, and I just can't bring myself to drill a 2'' hole through my transom. Also I recently removed my kicker bracket in order to lower it so I have a small hole that I would love to repurpose for this project. Does anybody have a picture of their boat with the rigging passing through the transom and possibly some suggestions. My boat is a Trophy 2052 heres a couple pictures for reference , any help would be appreciated greatly.

Thanks Mike

Hi Mike, I've put a few motors on 2502 Bayliner Trophys. I work on boats for more than 35 years. I would not go thew the vent on the back. to keep it clean looking, I would use a rubber boot. I got mine from a Bayliner dealer. The one I used is 2" in diameter. I cut a 1 1/2" hole with a hole saw and ran the fuel line and power cables thru the boot. The one I used had a Stainless Steel ring that covered the base ring of the boot and a 2" circle of rubber tube that sticks out from the transom. For closing the boot ( to keep out water) the tube has a Zip tie. Pretty certain they were obtained thru Bayliner. Just make sure that when you cut your hole that there is nothing on the back side. Also put the boot as high as possible but below the deck.
'If I could draw anything except flies, I'd raw you a picture.

Thanks for the reply's! I've got my remote troll remounted on my Trophy and My new kicker on. Lowe I took your advice and did a little looking around. I came up with the parts that you described! Should clean things up nicely and also found a canvas sleeve that zips over the hoses and cables to finsih things off

Thanks again , Mike
