Any ideas on where one could find the best value (Price for a 9.9 HP / 4 Stroke) with elect start and power lift. I would like to purchase one in March of 2012

Find your nearest large boat show or sportsman show and compare prices. Those happen in Jan. or Feb.

Just got a 4hp 4stroke Tohatsu online-great service/great price and the motor was the very latest revised model (local dealer only had the old model number.)

I have a 9.9 nissan, pull start tiller on my tinny, and a 9.9 yamaha elec start with power tilt on the toon (as a trolling motor). Both have been super,worked hard and never a problem .You would be well served with either.

Brand is not important to me as I have decided that an Electic start, power trim with a easy troll is needed by me currently. I just feel like I am going to go in head first while reaching down off the Bayliner 2452 to lift my current trolling motor. One of these days its going to cause me some greif doing what I have been doing.
Anyway, before April, I would like to terminate the use of my 04 Merc 15 Hp 2 Stroke, go 4 stoke and plumb it to the main tank.
I appreciate the leads and will be checking them all out after January 2012. I am open to good used also, as long as it meets the criteria above.

I waited for the end of season sales,clearing out inventory. Now is a good time to buy as well as dealers dont want to carry over 2011 models left in stock. Check out that portabote site,they are nissan or tohatsu (same motors), and they are also great motors...
