Hi I'm Rick I have been trout fishing all my life in American,Alder,Spanaway,Riff lakes I have worked construction nearly all my life but 6 years ago I had an accident that put me in an wheelchair. Last year I bout a 18ft pontoon boat put A 6ft Ramp under the front now I,m back out there tooexcited my brother inlaw and I are usually out on American Lake

you know that is one of toughs lakes you drive by and you think to your self it looks good but never try but after looking at some of your reports from there I just may do that thanks Toni

I fish it a ton seeing as its only about a 5min drive from my house. All i would have to say is dont bother going unless you have real maggots. These Kokanee have something of a crush on maggots. I cant remember a day last year where when i went out there i didnt get my limit. I would also say that my biggest was prolly bout 14inches they can be a bit small at times out there.

You guys have some spoiled kokanee up there in Washington. I remember years ago the hot bait at Shannon and Baker was a piece of corn, maggot, shrimp, and worm.... called it the kokanee cocktail or something like that. signfishin
