The record brown was taken back in 1977 @ 33lbs 10oz. I haven't heard of anything near this since. Maybe our local biologist can chime in on the brown situation at the Gorge. As far as kokes, there is still good numbers caught with good size today.
When I was in highschool I remember that monster brown taken and I was so impressed that I cut it out of the magazine and put it up on the wall.
What do the Kokes normally run for weight in that huge body of water? My largest Koke weighed 2 lbs and taped 18 inches 3 years ago at East Twin.
Twin use to be a world class koke fishery here in Ct but the overabundance of alewives lead to its demise. Then the state thinned out the alewife population by making it a trophy brown trout lake and it appears the kokes are making a comeback.Low numbers but quality fish. The record was broken last year there with one 3lbs plus.I hope to GOD that fishery keeps moving forward.
