I haven't been on in a while so I tried a search to see if this has been posted already but came up empty. If this is a repeat I apoligize. I get e-mails from Amazon on item topics that I have either purchased or done searches on. Today I got one for a new book, The Kokanee Obsession, published I believe Jan 2011. The link is below. I'm going to order it so I'll post a review when I have read it. There are so few books on kokes that I really can't pass this up even though it is pretty spendy ($18.95) for a short book (84 pages).

Yeah, I was just there. Gulfstream turned me on to it. Good info. He's selling the book for $3 less but I still got it cheaper after tax and shipping from Amazon by I think a dollar something. Not much of a difference but this way I get free 2-day shipping.

Thanks,
Bob

Kent will be at many of the NW koke hotspots this summer
http://kentcannon.com/fishing_schedule.htm

great video half way down his page on the rt side about the Red Fish Lake ocean sockeye run. 10,000 miles fattening up in the Pacific. 1000 miles up the mighty Columbia thru many dams, over 1 mile vertical clime to their ancestral spawning lake at Red Fish Lake

a truly magnificent fish, the ancestral god of our puny lake kokes.

will man disappear when the last ocean run salmon and free flowing river disappears from the face of the earth?

I will be at the Central Oregon show Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I will have books for sale at that time.
I think that there will be some bonus products like R&K bonus pack with a dodger and a micro hoochie, one of my books, an uncle Larry's setup, or a number of other bonuses for the guys that sign up for Kokanee Power Next week. So basically if you sign up, you are getting the membership for half price if you figure in the bonus, not to mention that you get a major discount on your entry fees for the upcoming derbies.

I just shipped a bunch of books to Joe Lebresh in Meridian ID. That may be the way to go if you live near there. He is going to sell them out of his tackle store as well as his online situation. That way there is no shipping which is really expensive.

Cannon, thanks for the info. My book should arrive tomorrow by fedex...can't wait. I checked out your schedule, will you be in the Boise area at all this year? Would love to meet and have a chance to chat.

Thanks again,
Bob

It has been discussed, but there is nothing in stone yet. I haven't been over there for a few years so it would be nice to get to Idaho. The closest that I have in the works at this time is Wallowa Lake near Joseph.

Looked at it on the map...a little too far for me. Hope you can get down this way sometime. Your book just hit my front door about 15 minutes ago. Look forward to reading it.

Thanks,
Bob
