I was messing with some hoochie skirts this evening and trying to give them a UV dip. The second one I tried I put the needle nose in the body when I did the dip. The dip also works as a solvent so it temporarily breaks down the plastic in the hoochie. When it re-stabilizes, the tentacles are fanned instead of tight like they come out of the package.

Hey, Have you found that the flare helps you get more hook ups than the one that arent.

I have never flared one out to see, but Im assuming that it must help ?

This is scent free. The Spike It line which does the same thing does have scents available.

I have a lot of problems with melting in my tackle bag. One of the things that increased the melting was "dipping" them. Have you had the same problem after using this product?

Melting is a by product of chemical reactions between hoochie plastic and tackle box plastic. If both are of proper quality, it won't happen. But to be specific about my answer in regards to my own experience, I put my hoochies in small plastic zip lock baggies and have no issues. I can tell you that because the dip product also works as a solvent to plastic, my dip time is very quick and I immediately lay on a paper towel and dab dry so that the lure isn't left deteriorated. I've held grubs in the dip too long before and when I pull the pliers out there was nothing left.

Looks good to me! I was going to the tackle shop this afternoon anyways!! I'll be at Merwin Fri., Sat, Sun. IF the snow melts & I can get to the ramp at the Campers Hideaway! tooexcited

I hadn't really thought of fanning them before for more action, but it makes sense. I just tried dipping a couple in near boiling water, pulling them out upside down to fan them, and holding them under cold water fanned. Seemed to work similarly to the photo above, but I have no idea if it will be permanent.
