Newbie Intro

[Koke Head]

Hey,

Found you guys after a referral from Full_Monte.

We used to fish for Kokanee when I was a kid back in Northern Idaho (we called them Blueback). Let me think ... LBJ was the VP back then I believe. Anyhow, we used to slay them on Lake Coeur d'Alene and Lake Pend Oreille back then. I was back there two years ago and boy things have changed - almost no Kokes left. Nowadays, I get my kokes out of New Melones.

I didn't get up to New Melones last year - there was just too much going on with the house addition and landscaping. The previous year the wind was howling on most trips so fishing was challenging. I hope to get started earlier in the season this year and get in several trips. The commute from Morgan Hill is a bit long for one day trips, though. We'll see ...
